The Nothing Post

In the last two weeks, we have been, to paraphrase Ecclesiastes, enjoying the fruit of our labor. This is of course a euphemism for “we’ve been enjoying our totally awesome kiln-fired glass double-wall insulated coffee mugs with fancy logos on the side.” Everyone has been quite busy with the jobs that make them money now, as opposed to money later. Nevertheless, I will take you through some things that have and haven’t happened.

In a recent series of high-level meetings, Stanza “executives” discussed author payments, cups, and the morality of Chat GPT. Author payments are not something we’ve decided on, but rather have found that the numbers are all wrong, since we know that on an executive’s spreadsheet, numbers dance.1

We discussed the morality of Chat GPT, and whether we should just assign this blog post to its prodigious drivel generation capabilities. Instead, we decided that perhaps it would be better to assign this blog post to my prodigious drivel generation capabilities.

Here’s an update on the cups for those of you who are on the wrong side of the US-Canada border. Your cups are being held at the distribution center in Northern California while a few test packages are wending their way through various logistics networks because I have an irrational fear of cups breaking when crossing over the border. I want to make sure that at least some cups are going to make it to their recipients unscathed before I send out current packaging. We like our coffee cups to hold coffee and not tinkle like cowbells on the beautiful mountains of Switzerland.

I also panicked about reports of cups being shattered in the dish-washer and in mostly peaceful cup-dropping incidents. Please, people, these cups are NOT drop-safe! Double-walled insulation is no good if it’s in pieces on your floor. Also, as mentioned, I do not believe the cups are dishwasher safe. Preserve your life, or at least your cup’s life, and wash it by hand. They are advertised as microwave safe, though. However, do you really want to disrespect your cup like that?

Kirby has been tweaking the UI/UX design mock-up for the iOS app recently, getting it to where we all feel comfortable with it. Once that’s done, then we can think about how we’re going to accomplish the massive task of developing the application. Just tweaks, you know, accent colors, little windows here and there and such like.
