Hey guys, it’s Kent here. Someone at Stanza has been churning out the words for you guys for almost one year and six months. Today, we have something new, something more than words, something that we’ve been wanting to bring to you for a very long time. Our iOS app has passed Apple’s arduous app review process, and is now, even now, available on the App Store.
That’s right! After a year and a half of arduous labor, we have accomplished what we first set out to do. It’s taken us 1672 hours—recorded hours, that is, to get here. And don’t worry, we aren’t done yet—not even close! There are so many authors out there that we don’t have contracts with yet, so many songs that aren’t on Stanza. Today (exact date July 26, at 5:50PM Pacific Daylight Time) we have 1,314 songs available on the app. We will be doing a lot more work, adding more songs every week, to make the low, low subscription price of $50 a year (or $5 a month if you are feeling generous) more and more worth it for you guys.
Now, for a word to our sponsors. To those of you who have been using the iOS Beta via TestFlight, we will be removing your access to that app, which will remove it from your devices. You will need to go to the link provided at the bottom of this post in order to download your new app. You will be able to use your existing account on the new app, just log in with your existing username and password, or with Apple or Google sign-in.
Most of you sponsors have four days left on your subscriptions. After those four days, you will need to purchase a subscription to continue using the app. Your new subscription should include a three-day free trial.
There are some of you curious about cups. If your heart has been aching because of a broken Stanza cup, or even if your heart has been aching because of no Stanza cup, we are going to sell them for $25 each with free shipping to the Continental US. We don’t have a storefront set up as of yet, but if you want one you can contact us and ask for a cup.
We also received a question about re-typesetting songs for a uniform appearance. Doing so is not currently in our plans, although some songs may be re-typeset if they are not up to our quality standards.
